Hey,
This is out to all fellow aerodynamicist, who are beginning their projects based on a CFD experiment.
I am currently working on my MSc project which is based on simulating flow over an open cavity. The CFD solver selected for this project is ANSYS Fluent and all the geometry and meshing will be designed using GAMBIT (which seems to be an outdated software which never gets updated!).
The reasons for this blog (if it reaches anyone), is to encourage others to help each other that are on a similar project or hopefully provide an insight into how this project develops over the number of days. Although there is a vast amount of research published on this topic, there is not sufficient amount of tutorials (or help) available online for this particular project. Therefore, I have set up this blog, in the hope that there are others doing a similar project and would love to bounce ideas off.
In the next post I will begin to introduce the status of my project so far and how I got to that point. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Peace,
Umr
